If you do have an active swimmers ear infection, then one method to obtain relief is to apply heat. A warm wet towel can help loosen ear wash and help the ear canal to drain. This can be done right after the vinegar treatment.

Garlic treatment is another very effective treatment for minor ear infections. You can buy garlic oil at health food stores, or you can make your own. Take several fresh cloves of garlic and mash them to extract the oil within. Mix a little olive oil with the mashed garlic, the strain the preparation through cheese cloth, removing all solid particles, leaving only the oil. Place in the ears for a minute or so, and then drain any excess from the ears. You should feel immediate relief and a lot more relief by the next morning.
