When the condition starts to get worse, the numbness and pain can be felt in the forearm already and goes up to the shoulder. You can feel these symptoms immediately after waking up.
Moderate To Severe Symptoms
If you are suffering from moderate to severe symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome, you will suffer from reduced strength in your fingers, hands and wrists. Doing simple hand movements, like holding a spoon, can be painful already. Due to the numb feeling, you can accidentally drop things. Pinching can be tough to do too since the thumb really gets weak due to carpal tunnel syndrome.

Acupuncture: To treat carpal tunnel syndrome, acupuncture points are usually on the wrist, arm, thumb, and hands.
